Feeding Our People: Responding to the COVID-19 Crisis in St. Louis

This year, we've certainly had our share of ups and downs. We closed our doors in February, only to find new life thanks to community support and our new investor partners. Just a few weeks later, we had to close our dining room again as we responded to the COVID-19 Stay At Home order. Here we are mid-April and we're still feeding our folks each day - and we can't begin to express how grateful we are for the opportunity.

In recent weeks, an opportunity presented itself when two of our very generous customers reached out to us and asked if they could donate a meal to someone in need. We put out a call to our tribe asking for nominations of people who could benefit from a meal during this difficult time. We were overwhelmed with stories of permanent layoff, temporary furloughs, cancer, domestic violence, and more. At the same time, the community saw what we were hoping to do and stepped up with donations.

As of this posting, we have been able to serve more than 200 people with much-needed food. Everyone who has asked for a meal has been served. How incredible is that?!

If you are in need of a meal or know someone who is, please reach out to us via direct message on Facebook or Instagram and we'll help as long as we're able.

Are you interested in donating a community meal? Click here to order one through our online ordering. Scroll to the bottom and choose "Donate a Meal," then pay. Every $30 meal feeds a family of 4. We'll match donations with those that we know of who have need.

THANK YOU for your support of this initiative.
