And now for something COMPLETELY different!
This month's limited time collab is with one of our favorite new chefs to pop on St. Louis's food scene in some time - Melanie Meyer of Tiny Chef. The new Tiny Chef Kimchi Dog is a juicy smoked Nathan's hot dog topped with Tiny Chef's signature kimchi, sriracha mayo and toasted black sesame seeds. It's available while supplies last through the shop (order online) or for delivery only through Postmates.
Melanie is half of Party Bear Pizza and Tiny Chef operating out of the Silver Ballroom on Morganford in South City. While it tastes like she's been making Korean food her entire life, Melanie actually came to love the cuisine as part of her journey to understand her heritage.
Melanie born in Seoul, South Korea, adopted and raised in the United States. As she began connecting with her Korean culture as a curious adult, food became an expression of her connection to her history and culture. At Tiny Chef, you'll find menu items like kimchi, bibimbop bowls, tteokbokki skewers and more in a rotating lineup of specials. (Follow Tiny Chef on Facebook to find out what's on the menu next!)
"My kimchi is packed full of flavor, vitamins, nutrients, antioxidants and natural antibiotics. You can enjoy it by itself, in soups, stews, stir fry dishes, or as an accompaniment to tofu, chicken or fish," said Melanie as we planned our collaboration.
While we aren't often hailed as a health food restaurant, this month's collaboration may go on the record books as our healthiest yet. Get it while supplies last!
