How We Give Back

After years of receiving 10 or more weekly requests for donations, our team worked to figure out how best to make a community impact. Rather than giving away gift certificates or merchandise for fundraiser events, we give back in two ways:​
 

  • Hosting Fundraiser Events for locally-focused groups doing good work within our community (within 10 miles of Steve's Hot Dogs on South Grand). We offer 4 fundraising slots each month for groups that are looking to bring a crowd. 
     

  • Giving free meals to first responders & people experiencing food insecurity through our Feed The People program (more than 6,000 meals to date!)

Dogs for Dollars Fundraising Program

At Steve's Hot Dogs, community is a core value. We were built with community support and strive to find new ways to partner with our community to give back every day. Our Dogs for Dollars Fundraising Program allows the local St. Louis community to not only enjoy delicious meals, but to also help local organizations raise money for great causes. 

We happily support:

  • Non-Profit Organizations

  • Neighborhood Groups

  • Libraries

  • University Groups

  • Youth Sports Teams

  • Public and Private Schools

  • Clubs

Groups must be located or working within 10 miles of Steve's Hot Dogs and be willing to host a physical event with a crowd on the night of their fundraiser to qualify. They must be willing and able to promote and bring a crowd.

Here's How It Works
 

1. Schedule a Date for Your Event.

We offer 4 slots per month on Wednesdays. Book early to get your choice of date. Fundraisers run 4 pm to 9 pm. We donate 15% of total dine-in and carryout sales from 4 pm to 9 pm - no special codewords required.
 

2. Provide us with a signed W-9 for your event.

3. Promote, Bring Your Group & Dine.

Spread the word through social media, flyers, email, and word of mouth. We will provide you with flyer templates, graphics, and recommendations for promotion. Because we aren't asking for codewords or other identification that could potentially limit the number of sales counted toward your fundraiser, we do ask for our partners to promise to promote thoroughly in order to maximize sales and funds raised on their date. Make sure that your supporters know that all dine-in and carryout sales placed on our website or in store are eligible. (Delivery & third party app sales are not.)

4. Earn.​

15% of all qualified sales will be donated to your organization following the event. Please allow up to two weeks for accounting and processing.
