Every year on August 12, we celebrate our founder Steve Ewing’s birthday by doing what we do best - serving up hot dogs and spreading the love. And this year, Steve is turning 55, so we’re going even bigger.
Free Hot Dogs for Steves
If your name is Steve (or Steven, Stephen, Stevie — bring your ID), you eat free. No catch. Just choose one hot dog from our special Steve Day menu: Chicago Dog, Backyard BBQ Dog, Bacon Bacon Jamaican, Naked Dog, or Chili Cheese Dog.
This tradition is something our customers look forward to every year — they literally message us in advance to make sure it’s happening. We keep doing it because it brings people together and makes people happy. Simple as that.
New This Year: The Footlong
To celebrate the big 5-5, we’re debuting our first-ever footlong hot dog, available for one day only - August 12.
Footlongs will be available in three styles: Naked Dog, Chili Cheese Dog, or Classic Dog with ketchup, mustard, raw onions, and relish. Same Nathan’s 100% All Beef Dog we always use — just longer.
